changes...

No, the baby is not here although that is the big change we're waiting for. That being said, we are changing around here. Teeny lady, you want to see my brace-free face- here she is. Taneal, you want to see my pregnant belly- here she is one week ago. Who knows what it looks like this week but it is still growing. Dallin actually asked today if my belly was going to burst open and that's how the baby would get out. I laughed it off as child-like thinking but am beginning to wonder myself if that is not going to be the exit route of choice for this child. Hopefully he settles for conventionality. Life has been busy this last month and that has kept time sailing. Unfortunately, as of last week, we have entered the "waiting place". And according to Dr. Suess that is a place that nobody wants to be or should be. I agree with him, I just don't know how to get out of it. But I guess I'll trust in the law of opposites and assume the more anxiety I suffer awaiting the arrival, the sweeter the excitement will be when the time arrives... we will see!

Only the Pistol

Yesterday at church, Porter got a flower to give to Gay.  They had put the flower in a plastic cup with some potting soil.  When I picked him up, he asked, "Daddy, can I go show mommy my dirt?"

Get your Ash over here

Hallelujah we have a name! Last Thursday I received the text... "His name is Ash." After months of boycotting the subject (ok, so boycott probably isn't really a fair word, but you know me, I would've loved to talk about it until we had a name where as Yosh, maybe once a month had the inkling for a good conversation about names), Yosh made up his mind and called the shot. Our little man will be Ash Lucas Hansen A Baby Boy So Handsome. Or maybe we'll just stop at Hansen. But I do love having a name picked out. Once the declaration was made, I feel like this child had more of a definite identity. Can't wait to meet him and love him and cuddle him (and leave him with Yosh when he's screaming...), and before long we'll be yelling, "Get your Ash over here!"

This is Yosh. Below is an actual post from my Brighton High reunion blog. I would just post a link and let you read it directly on the reunion blog (http://brightonhigh99.blogspot.com/).. , but they've removed some of the content, so I retrieved a cached copy in all its glory, Enjoy!

----------------

Sean Escobar has lead a very fulfilling life since graduation and is very passionate about his family, his career, and his lifestyle.

Sean was introduced to his wife, Crystal, by a fellow Bengal, Brenda Drollinger. (Coincidentally, Crystal has a journal entry from years past where Brenda had prophesied that she would someday introduce Crystal to her husband.) Sean will forever be grateful to Brenda. He feels Crystal is the most wonderful person in the world, and is also drop-dead gorgeous. It was love at first sight for Sean, and Crystal saw potential. :)

Sean and Crystal had a couple of things in common that drew them close right from the start. Firstly, they both had served missions for their church--Sean to Virginia and Crystal to Germany. Second, they knew a lot of the same people as Crystal had attended Butler Middle School. The same year Crystal left was the year Sean transferred to Butler; they just missed each other. Then they literally traded places--Sean to Brighton and Crystal to Skyline.

The third thing they had in common was that they had the same beliefs about money and financial freedom. In fact, Crystal was pursuing her own career in another relationship marketing company when they met. It was Crystal’s results on the Nutritional Cleansing Technology that proved to be the deciding factor in her joining forces with Sean in Isagenix. She lost 25 lbs in 6 weeks and went from a size 10 to a 4! Sean lost 12 lbs and 15 inches in the first Deep Cleanse and continued to feel energy, mental clarity, and overall well-being from a Daily Cleansing Lifestyle. Because of their own results, they felt a moral obligation to share this technology with everyone and anyone that would listen. An incredible residual business opportunity was born and they went on to earn 6-figure income in their first year of sharing the products with people. Just a few years later, they became the youngest million-dollar income earners in Isagenix and have done the business full time ever since. They are passionate about helping young people like themselves find a way to get their health in check and supplement their income without risking the farm. What a blessing to help so many people improve their health and quality of life by introducing them to the concept of nutritional cleansing.

After 5 years of marriage they now have 2 kids, a 3 year old daughter named Lily and a Newborn son named Oliver or “Olly.” They also have 2 dogs and 2 cats. As multi-million-dollar earners, Sean and Crystal are living the life of their dreams in Draper, where their home is tucked against the Wasatch Mountains. They can literally hear the horses and chickens from their kitchen window, and the deer come right into their back yard. Sean and Crystal both feel that it is such a blessing to work from home and spend the majority of time with the ones they love the most. The income is a dream come true as they have no debt with their entire lives ahead of them.

--------------------

I hope that gave you a good laugh. The new "in" thing to really show you've arrived in the world is the audibility of chickens from your home? I just found the mention of chickens as a symbol of wealth and luxury to be so ironic, because anytime a chicken wakes me up in the morning, I get pretty upset. Other favorites include:
1)"same beliefs about money and financial freedom" ---
2)"they felt a moral obligation to share this technology" ---
3)"As multi-million-dollar earners, *** are living the life of their dreams in Draper" ----I genuinely appreciate the candor here. So many will hide behind more politically correct responses, stating their happiness comes from a stable marriage, children, community involvement, or other deluded ideas, but they come right out and admit it, it's all about the benjamins baby!
