Yosh and I hadn't seen each other in almost 2 weeks due to conflicting travel schedules, if you will. I felt like those were two crucial weeks in my pregnancy progression. When he left, I was definitely showing but really seemed to pop out while he was gone.
I picked him up from the airport, we went home, hung out for awhile and he offered no observation on his own. So while getting ready for bed, we had the following conversation:
"So have I grown a lot since you last saw me?"
Yosh takes a moment to evaluate and responds, "Yea, your arms are huge."
Thanks, but I was talking about my belly and NOTHING ELSE!

Get yo grub on...
What's for dinner tonight? Well, I will give you a little hint of something delicious to whip up the next time you ask yourself this question.....
What is this you may ask? Let me tell you. They are Mediterranean chicken pitas and very easy to make.
-Marinate chicken in a creamy Mediterranean dressing. (I use Goddess from Trader Joe's.)
-Cut bell peppers and purple onions. Toss in olive oil and oregano.
Broil veggies in oven at 400 for 15-20 minutes. (Cover bottom of cookie sheet in foil for easy clean up.) Cook chicken in skillet. Use tazhiki (don't know how to spell that, but is a yogurt type dip) and hummus as condiments in your wheat pitas. Sprinkle with goat or feta cheese and get yo grub on...so GOOD! And easy, and healthy!!
While I was out and about today, I indulged in a cooking accessory....
Every cook needs an apron, right? I must admit I feel very professional wearing this. I need to think of a name for Yosh to call me while draped in this...

My absolute favorite picture of our Hawaii trip. We looked almost daily for the sea turtles in the ocean. Dallin got decent at spotting them, but I am hesistant to say Porter saw a single one! But they enjoyed looking nonetheless. I need this pic poster size I think.
Happy Valentine's Day to us! What better place to spend it...
Fun in the sun....
until the point of exhaustion! But let's be hones, naps by the pool, you can't beat that!
Yosh and i even got a date while we were there! And I must say I think it was one of our longest meals. Very fun!
Yosh busted out his new camera while we were there, so when there is more time on our hands we'll have to see what he captured! Vacation is fun. I really like spending continual, fun time with my fam and vacation seems to be just the place! Loved it!

Pictures are out again, and let me promise you I have a couple of good ones! But the service is a bit sketchy over here is paradise, and that is ok b/c not much else is. We're over here in Hawaii and it has once again lived up to our every expectation. I guess our only solid expectation is sun. (I write this as I'm sitting inside for the first rain day!) I promised the boys two things before we came here. 1)They could wear shorts every single day (mostly geared towards Porter) and 2)they could go swimming every single day (more geared towards Dallin.) So far I've been able to make good on my promises. I guess we'll be jumping in the pool today regardless of weather cooperation just to keep good on my word.
The boys have had some funny moments here. The other day we were at the pool when a big cloud went in front of the sun. He turned to me all serious, "Mom, did someone just turn the lights off?" Ha ha! Makes sense in a three year olds mind.
Porter will often touch my tummy and say, "Mommy, do you have a baby in there?" Somewhat recently he has turned to other growing body parts- my boobs- and asked the same question. I tell him no and he might continue with dialogue or not. Well the other day he started down this same road with Yosh's grandma. First he touched her tummy and asked her if she had a baby in there. She obviously said no and then he continued on up touching her boobs asking if she had a baby in there. She gave a slightly embarrassed chuckle before answering no. Well Porter didn't skip a beat, "then are those your boobies?" He was just smiling by then and sensed that she was feeling something as well and said it again, "Are those your boobies?" (imagine a high voice inflex on the word boobies!) We got a good laugh out of that as we were not the only ones present for the entertainment and strangers also were within ear shot of this comical conversation!
Family vacation is good!!

Yeah! I didn't know I could upload pics to the lab top but apparently I can. So here are some randoms...
Here is the one picture I have to document our New Years Eve: the guys at Benihanas. Is it weird that they all wanted to sit by each other and not by their wives? I guess we've been depriving them of guy time. Laura I know you were holding your breath for this pic. Hope it lives up to your expectations!

Two cute boys. What will three look like?
For those who remember me when I only had one chin, I now have two. And we're only half way there. (And yes, I know that is a lot of smile and the braces don't help. Some of us just weren't born with the photogenic gene.) This was to document that I actually took my boys to the zoo. First time to the LA zoo. B wouldn't indulge me by being in the pic, but he too made his debut at the zoo.
A cold, January day. Ok half of that sentence is a lie. But not the half you would guess. It is a January day but a warm, 75 degree January day. As Laura said, we pay a pretty penny to enjoy this Southern California weather! Our mortgage dollars at work!! But seriously is this amazing or what. Not only warm enough to stay outside all day long, but to be outside in the water! Fun day, like skipping school when it's this warm in January!

So we still are yet to have the computer up and running so once again no pics. It's actually kind of funny why the internet isn't working. Yosh finally got around to calling our internet company on Saturday only to find out that from their side everything is running properly. As Yosh was checking the connection here, he saw that the phone jack is basically yanked out of place. And let me tell you how that has happened. We have come up with a really cruel punishment for our boys. We refer to it as "dark timeout." They hate it, therefore it really gets the job done! Even with Pistol, who is a hard one to discipline! What it is is our utility closet right by the kitchen. We store our extra dining room table chairs in there so it is perfect to sit them on their little tushes, turn off the light and shut the door for the allotted 2 or 3 minutes. The door allows a sliver of light to shine through, but other than that, it is them and the dark. Not fun. Like I mentioned, it is very effective. The only problem is the stray wires, cords, etc that connect to who-knows-what. (Well, apparently one connects to the internet.) But they go in their a bit enojado and start yankin and whatever their little hands can reach. And time has taken a toll on the internet cord, almost completely ripped out of its home. Sad for me as I can no longer upload photos to the computer. Also sad that we better find a new scary timeout. That's not as easy thing to come by. That being said, we may be on the road to recovery. At least we now know what the problem is.
But I am resolved to not let this little blog be neglected. Hopefully soon I'll be able to document what we are actually doing in our lives.
